She Came, She Saw and she concured. Jackie Venson.
The bluespolice had a field day last wednesday. We love it when youngsters picking stuff up and making something new and modern out of it. We didn’t care because we had a great evening watching an extraordinary musically talent on Stage. What a talent. Soul, blues r& B Rock and LOL. She woar a big Smile on her face and had fun letting her creative songs hear. At the end the crowd was clapping, dancing and singing. She and her drummer Rodney Hyder and ED ( i guess Electronic Device) the machine filled with loops and samples where in full control. using real prerecorded played samples. You could hear the layered build up in each song. Putting this young lady in the “Bluesbox”would be a shame. There is so much more to discover. In the interview later on i also discovered an eager hard working musician who wasn’t shy even for playing a brand new song for the first time on stage.
Voted best guitarplayer in Austin Texas is an accolade not many people are getting, but this only the beginning for Jackie Venson. She is going places.
